Virginia’s Chesapeake Bay country has always been my home. I grew up in an early home on the shores of the Rappahannock River. As a high school student, I spent my summers working at a nearby resort The Tides Inn. I discovered that the hospitality and warmth of the local people, combined with the enchanting rural, coastal setting charmed visitors. I spent a season working on the water, as a crab-potter. This furthered my respect and deepened my love for this Chesapeake Bay. Later, a local building contractor, whose patience was virtue, employed me as a carpenter. When my children were young, I operated an herb farm and shop. These experiences created a bond with the people, land and waters of the Virginia’s Chesapeake Bay country. With this perspective, a rewarding career in marketing local properties evolved. Many qualities and skills enhance a real estate professional: integrity, community and market knowledge, promotional savvy, effective negotiation skills and a quality network. I strive to use these attributes every day for every client.
